Probably one of my top 10 hikes
I had taken a trip down the Zion National Park to hike and camp and everything went well and as expected. What we didn’t know is that not only would we visit Zion, but we would hit up 4 other national parks in the span of 2 weeks.
Grand Canyon is as breathtaking as everyone says it is. You see pictures of it everywhere and everyone tells you how amazing it is. You can youtube people hiking it or taking selfies on the edge. But honestly, nothing beats actually being there and soaking up the grandeur of it all. I honestly thought I would just see what I had already seen online, but the pictures never do it any justice. It isn’t what you see but rather the feeling of it all. How small and insignificant you feel. One slip and you would’ve fallen ( for hours). I hope to one day to go back and do the full hike - all the way to the bottom and back up. It’s on my bucket list.

A stranger took a picture of us taking photos at dawn. She actually came through and sent the picture to me 6 months after our trip.
